Haiku Dan

Dawn rises in East
Darkness to the West recedes
Passing Heron calls

Sun lights sylvan walls
from above, Bald Eagle falls
rises, fish in claws

Watery Loon dives
disappearing from all eyes
rises, swims, and laughs

yearling mallards group
a living raft of young lives
raucous, feathered, friends

from high banks above
ambles Red Fox along shore
tidal to explore
